  • Goooooooood morning from The Corner! It's been awhile, but we've been a bit busy of late. Of course, that's a good thing (as Martha is wont to say).

Work on the sanctuary is still progressing nicely. Everyone who has had the opportunity to check on the work has been very pleased. Can't wait to see the finished project! It'll blow the boat right out of the water for sure!

Kiddos, don't forget about Children's Summer Music Camp (with Jonathan & Denise Jones) tonight at 7:00 here at the church. Your parents can bring you and stay for prayer meeting with the other adults.

This coming Sunday, we will still be worshiping together in the Family Life Center. At 6:30 pm, reps from Teen Challenge International (one of our Faith Promise ministries) will be leading our evening worship service. Come on out and hear how the Lord is changing people's lives through this ministry.

The August newsletter is going out next week, so make sure that all pertinent information is into the office by Friday, July 25th. (The Church Ladies can't include in the bulletin and/or newsletter what they don't know, so please keep them in the loop. That also includes any changes in address, telephone number, e-mail, etc.)

Gentlemen, don't forget about CBC's Annual Golf Tournament which is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, at Shannon Greens golf course, beginning at 8:00 a.m. $25 covers green fees, prizes, and a meal. Contact John Smith with any questions you may have.

Ladies, you are invited to meet at the church on August 12th at 6:00 pm to help put together goody bags which will used in ministry when the Mission Team travels to Moldova in September. More details to follow.

Thanks for all you do! Now, go out and be a blessing!
  • Good morning from The Corner! Isn't the sound of raindrops and little rain frogs croaking wonderful? The Church Ladies sure think so.

Work on the sanctuary is progressing nicely but isn't finished yet. Please note that the Men's Sunday school class will be meeting in the Family Life Center and our church family will also be worshipping together at 11 o'clock on Sundays in the Family Life Center until work on the sanctuary is complete. The Adult Ladies Sunday school class and those Sunday school classes held upstairs will still meet in the church building.

There will be no activities at church this Sunday night except for our first night of Vacation Bible School. Children from 3 years of age through 6th grade are invited to join us from 6-8 each night, July 13-18, for Agency D3.

Have a lovely day and a fabulous weekend!
  • It's an overcast morning here at The Corner, but it's still a bit warm outside. Nevertheless, Pastor Jon and the Church Ladies are busy as bees in the office.

Those of you who are serving or have served in the military, please remember to wear your dress uniform to church Sunday morning as we recognize all who have served.

Please be aware that the church office will be closed Friday (July 4) and Monday (July 7) and will reopen on Tuesday (July 8). If calling the office during that time, please feel free to leave a message.

Have a wonderful 4th of July and go out and be a blessing!
  • If you have a child in 1st - 5th grade, don't forget about Children's Summer Music Camp (CSMC) this evening at 7:00 p.m. with Mr. Jonathan and Ms. Denise Jones here at CBC. Parents, you're more than welcome to stay for Prayer Meeting in the CBC Fellowship Hall while your children attend CSMC. Have a great afternoon!
