Meet the Staff

Mike DeCosta

PASTOR

Pastor Michael DeCosta has been in ministry since 1983. He has bachelor’s degrees in Religion and Sociology and a Masters of Divinity. He is married to Karen (for 35 years), and they have two children – Morgan (26) and Luke (24) – and a grandson Tatum (4- years-old). Pastor Mike has served at CBC for 11 years, starting October 2012. He is passionate about missions, evangelism, his church and preaching the Gospel. He loves sports, reading and spending time with his friends.

Casey Connors

YOUTH PASTOR

Reverend Casey Connors, affectionately known as “Coach,” has been a Youth Pastor for 13 years and joined the staff at Clarendon Baptist Church in August of 2022. Casey is originally from upstate New York and moved to SC in 2001 when he worked as a coach and teacher at Clarendon Hall School. In 2008, Casey married Jennifer Thompson Connors of Manning, and they have 5 children: Aubrey 28, Bailey 26, Bryce 21, Gavin 19, and Irelynn 14. In addition to being a Youth Pastor, Casey is a Sheriff’s Deputy and a volunteer Firefighter. Pastor Casey and his family enjoy boating, swimming, camping, hiking, hunting, target shooting, fishing, skiing, and all sports and outdoor activities. Our ministry is Bible based learning, to help our youth grow in knowledge of and in relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pam Scott

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Pam has been the Administrative Assistant at Clarendon Baptist since the Spring of 2010 and loves being at the center of things in the church office. She and Chuck have been married for 34 years and are parents to Rebecca and Cory. One of her very favorite verses is Micah 6:8, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
